Montclair is a tree town with the ordinances to match. The canopy is a civic asset, and removals are scrutinized. We start with assessment. If the tree can be pruned, cabled, or monitored, that is the recommendation. If it has to come down, we handle the township process and the takedown.

Upper Montclair’s large specimens and the tighter lots toward Bloomfield Avenue both show up on our calendar. Crane work on the hill is not unusual.
